Wrong! As others have commented, there is absolutely no plot. It looks like Tarantino, Brad and Leo had a lot of fun filming lots of random scenes, and an editor spent a quick afternoon splicing them all together. "Oh, I know. let"s put Leo in the Great Escape. Let"s put Leo in a tedious western and show 30 mins of the making of it. Sounds, great eh?
Tedious. Tedious. Tedious. I was tempted to get up and leave many times, but was hopeful that the movie would eventually get into gear and show some semblance of plot. Nope. not until the last 15 mins does anything happen. And I hated that scene too.
I heard that Tarantino said this is his penultimate movie. If your final one is anything like this, then please don"t bother making it, Quentin.

Actually, the “her eyes were green” line is kind of brilliant. Her eyes were, in fact, correct, and to me it seems that Deckard is trying to cover up his pain in seeing a copy of his deceased lover by throwing a jab at Wallaces competence so that he wont use her against him further. Acid soothe.

Gosh this movie is incredible one of the best sequels ever. I had an IMAX pretty much to myself when I saw this (there were maybe 3 other people there) on a rainy Wednesday night in London. I walked home so happy that for once, out of all the garbage being re-hashed today, a sequel came out that didnt treat its audience like idiots and knew that the majority of viewers would be fans of the original. Thats a certain class of filmmaking so rare these days, we should all cherish it. Perfect sequel.

Leto knocked it out of the park, so did Green, Fancher and Villineuve. Wallace appears in only three scenes and yet it is such a fulfilled and in-depth character. This movie is an artistic masterpiece, like the original. Unfortunately true art is rarely appreciated, and often rejected in it"s time. When androids dream of electric wolves... I thought I was alone thinking this. Definitely prefer 2049 to the original. This is one of the toughest to watch fight scenes out there (like fatal attraction.  Amazing movie. Acid zoo productions. Acid color zoo. It"s age restricted????.

So many movies of today lack the importance of making you sympathize with its protagonist, this movie however even makes you sympathize with its antagonist (Luv. It"s truly a modern era masterpiece where you find sympathy for almost every character, especially K! Best movie in decades. The editing of this video plus the music is tugging at my soul. I do not know how Vangelis does it. Gee what are the odds that someone would put a FLOWER ontop of a BURIAL site of a loved one. Both movies where awesome. This movie is such a fantastic film. After seeing the first one pretty late in 2017, I had to wait a month for this second one to be released. I was hyped for it. It was definitely worth all the hype. There is more action in this than the first one. And the action was incredibly fun to watch. Within the first 2 minutes there is action. I watched this five times already lol. It never gets old. I would rate this movie a solid 9.5/10. Of course there is flaws. One flaw was that they killed off many Kingsman and friends, another flaw was that they used fuck a lot in this film. It really got old. Besides those 2 flaws the rest was solid and fun.

Hey 30 Seconds To Mars is the timeline I would choose to live in if asked... Godspeed Mr Hauer, Godspeed. Definitely one of the best facial recreations I"ve ever seen, in no small part helped by the original actress. The only flaw I can really speak of are her lips, I feel they move a little too far. Damn, if you slow down the part where those guys first get hit by those missiles, you can see limbs flying off with blood trails.

I"m still trying to sort out my feelings towards Blade Runner 2049. I enjoyed your piece very much. Well done. My favorite sequel might be Godfather II. Acid zoo tycoon. DRIVE 2049. Acid zookeeper. Acid zoledronic prospect. Zoo acid trip.

This movie will haunt me until the day I die. I know when you think of the word haunt you would think of it in a bad way, but in this case it is not. There are things about this movie that will always bother me. The many times Nicki had to rescue himself from the world that was Vietnam. The way the vietminh soldiers threw the U.S. soldiers into a pit of water and left them to die, and their bodies to the rats. But these are things soon lost in the mix when you get caught up in this epic of a movie. Robert DeNiro is one of the geatest actors of all time. I know many people say once a person is in a role nobody could have played it better. But this is trully a case where noone could have played the role of Michael better than DeNiro. He brings you in from the beginning and never lets go. Just as the movie does. There are so many different emotions you are forced to feel as the piece goes along it"s hard to focus on just one. But if anything jumps out at you the most it"s friendship. It"s never leaving someone behind. These men have a bond that others only wish they could achieve as friends. They are inseperable. But that turns out to be the problem for them. Being serperated causes a mental anguish so strong that they become trapped, a world they would never escape. There are many sad feelings from this movie, but also many feelings of pride. As well as many times you will find yourself laughing right along with the men from the small Pittsburgh town. The Deer Hunter is a movie that should escape noone"s mind.

If you are in the 1% you should see this as what inevitably happens when the elite allow the peasant class to suffer beyond reason. If you aren"t you can treasure the payback, eh!
All in all if you check logical analysis at the door before, during and after the movie and, instead, just sit back and enjoy the ride you"ll find this is an extremely entertaining waste of 2 hours.

I only just saw Snowpiercer, and I want to share a few thoughts which is part a review of this movie a part a commentary on the questions this movie raised for me.
If you didn"t know that this movie was produced and directed by South Korean film industry, you would never have known this was a South Korean movie. Why? The movie is in English, the lead actors are all Caucasian, others are a mix. The story of the movie is based on a European, French novel. There are two supporting South Korean characters, so I guess that is a bit of a clue that it is a South Korean product - but otherwise you would not know unless you were told. This does spring up an interesting debate, does a film industry have to produce ethnically indigenous movies or can they produce movies in other languages with foreign actors? Second question is to what extent are foreign movie industries under the imperial influence of Hollywood/Western culture that they forgo their own culture and make movies to appeal to Western culture?
The question above I will leave to ferment in the readers mind. In my my own mind I think it is a bit artificial. I would much rather see great South Korean movies based on their own culture and their own actors 3-Iron, Oldboy, Memoirs of Murder, than what I perceive to be a movie that is calculated to tap the Western market. At 40 million budget this is the most expensive South Korean movie made so far, but it does not entirely look it. What they did get right was the dystopic atmospheric lighting inside the train, which reminds you of Terry Gilliam(Brazil, Twelve Monkeys) and the production design of the interior train set is just right, with some really bizarre and wacky sets but brilliant lit, such as the indoor aquarium and the engine room. The problem area is the VFX, and of course we are going to compare it to Hollywood when it is consciously trying to imitate Hollywood, and in comparison the VFX work comes across as a cheaper imitation of Polar Express. The CG shots of the train, especially the aerial shots, make the train look like a toy train. However, by Asian standards the effects work is notable, and there at least some impressive vista shots of the frozen city outside of the train which are occasionally inter-cut into the slow moving drama. The vast majority of the movie is shot indoors in the train in movie sets. While, we know they are moving on a fast moving train, we never really feel the feeling of speed. This is because most of the movie is just wasted in loads of dialogue.
The weakest point of the movie is the screenplay. The main plot of the movie is the underclass at the back of the train rising in revolution against the elite class at the front of the train, and as they make their way down from train to train they learn new things and encounter harder and harder challenges. Yet, we never really feel the struggle, because they barely have to struggle against any of the challenges, they just bulldoze their way through. They pass the first stage by simply overpowering the seemingly armed soldiers, by realising that they don"t have any bullets because bullets went extinct. the next stage they encounter soldiers armed with axes and night vision goggles, and despite the fact that they are out- armed and surprised, many of them still survive, when really they should all be massacred. The next stage they face an even greater challenge, soldiers armed with machine guns, so now not only do they have bullets, they have enough bullets for several machine guns. But like before our heroic crusaders erstwhile unarmed bulldoze through them, but with the numbers dwindling down at every stage.
There are some really bizarre characters in the movie as well, that make no sense. There is a ninja, who does not utter a word, but somersaults into a scene at the right moment to defeat a baddie. There is a terminator baddie who despite getting stabbed and shot several times, and is able to come back to life and continue his murderous killing spree; there is a clairvoyant 16 years South Korean girl who knows what"s behind each gate. Chris Evans as the hero is not believable as the revolutionary leader and his long monologues bore rather than inspire.
As the film reaches its climax with the unexpected twist you wonder what the struggle was all about in the end, as our lead hero ends up crashing the train and killing everybody on board, including himself. Yet, despite the train having been thrown of its track into the mountains below, the weird 16 year old clairvoyant girl and a 5 year black boy survive unscathed and the final scene is them walking out into the snow in fur coats, and apparently it was cold enough outside to turn one man"s arm into ice at the beginning of the movie. But at this point you don"t really care about this gaping plot hole, after having walked through so many, as the ending credits start to roll.
In conclusion this movie is trying to imitate Gilliam and to a large extent it succeeds in imitating his visual style, but it does not even come near imitating his greatness. Snowpiercer is too calculated to work with somebody like me, I can see right through it.
